The COVID-19 pandemic is creating an unprecedented rise in mental health and substance use issues, leaving many of us asking how we can better support our friends and loved ones.
I am honored to offer Mental Health First Aid to give people the resources they need to answer those questions.
Mental Health First Aid is an international, evidence-based program that teaches people to identify, understand and respond to someone who might be struggling with a mental health or substance use challenge — and connect them with appropriate support and resources when necessary. I invite you view the flier containing additional information about MHFA below.
As a means of doing my part to empower others with this knowledge, I am offering this training in Spring/Summer 2022. Thanks to a generous donation from Engage Recovery, we are able to offer the April courses at no cost!*
If you need more information or are interested in receiving training for yourself, your family, non-profit, business, or other group at a later date, please complete the form on the Contact page or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Let's face these challenges together.
PS- Check out my blog entry "On Mental Health" to learn more about why I am passionate about training the community on Mental Health First Aid.
*You will pay the $30 deposit to hold your seat. Upon completion of the course, you will be refunded in full. If the deposit is a barrier for you, please email me at email@example.com for assistance.
