The COVID-19 pandemic is creating an unprecedented rise in mental health and substance use issues, leaving many of us asking how we can better support our friends and loved ones. I am honored to offer Mental Health First Aid to give people the resources they need to answer those questions.
Mental Health First Aid is an international, evidence-based program that teaches people to identify, understand and respond to someone who might be struggling with a mental health or substance use challenge — and connect them with appropriate support and resources when necessary. I invite you view the flier containing additional information about MHFA below.
As a means of doing my part to empower others with this knowledge, I am offering this training in Fall/Winter 2022. Thanks to a generous donation from Engage Recovery, we are able to offer the September class at no cost!
If you need more information or are interested in receiving training for yourself, your family, non-profit, business, or other group at a later date, please complete the form on the Contact page or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Let's face these challenges together.
PS- Check out my blog entry "On Mental Health" to learn more about why I am passionate about training the community on Mental Health First Aid.
